Briefs 5-Huntelaar passes medical, Seve out of intensive care

Soccer - Dutch international Klaas Jan Huntelaar has passed a medical with Real Madrid ahead of his move from Ajax Amsterdam, the Spanish champions said on their website (www.realmadrid.com).
The 25-year-old striker, who is due to be presented to the media on Thursday, has been out with an ankle problem since early last month. Huntelaar will not be available to play for Real until the transfer window opens in January.
Golf - Five-times major winner Seve Ballesteros has been moved out of intensive care after Tuesday's scheduled operation to help drain fluid from his brain and repair the bone flap from a previous intervention, Madrid's La Paz hospital said.
The 51-year-old Spaniard had three operations on a brain tumour in October.
Soccer - Olympique Lyon striker Karim Benzema should be fit to play against Bayern Munich in the Champions League next Wednesday after recovering from a thigh injury.
"I have resumed running. If all goes well I will ask for a place in the squad to face Bayern," he told French radio. Continued...
