Hong Kong shares extend gains to jump over 6 pct
HONG KONG, Nov 21 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks built on a midday rally to jump more than 6 percent on Friday, as U.S. stock futures pointed to a recovery on Wall Street and talk swirled about another round of rate reductions in China.
Banks, properties and commodity-linked stocks, which had been battered in a four-day slump, racked up strong gains.
At 0632 GMT the benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI was up 5.3 percent at 12,953.42 after opening nearly 4 percent lower.
The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed mainland Chinese firms .HSCE had jumped 5 percent to 6,497.42. (Reporting by Parvathy Ullatil; editing by Anne Marie Roantree)
