Dec 1 (Reuters) - Natural healthcare company William Ransom & Son Plc (RNSM.L) said on Monday two former directors are seeking to oust the board and have themselves reappointed.

Ransom said Stephen Quinn and Frederick Whitcomb, who were directors until December 2007, had requested a general meeting to seek reappointment along with two others.

Quinn and Whitcomb, founders of aloe vera products supplier Optima Healthcare, originally joined Ransom's board after it acquired Optima in 2005.

The two made an offer approach for Ransom in June 2008, which was later withdrawn.
